The Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Association Scholarship Program honors the legacy of Navy EOD by supporting the educational goals of our families. Through annual scholarships, NEODA provides financial assistance to eligible dependents and family members, helping reduce the burden of higher education and invest in the future of our community.

Scholarship Impact

Scholarship funds are awarded annually and may be used toward tuition, books, and other approved educational expenses at accredited colleges, universities, and vocational or technical programs. Awards are merit-based and reviewed by an independent scholarship committee in accordance with NEODA guidelines.

Who May Apply

Applicants must fall into one of the following eligibility categories and meet all program requirements

Eligible applicants include:​

  • Spouse of a current, former, retired, medically retired, or fallen U.S. Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Technician.​

  • Dependent child (biological, adopted, or stepchild, regardless of legal adoption status) of a current, former, retired, medically retired, or fallen U.S. Navy EOD Technician.​

  • Grandchild of a current, former, retired, medically retired, or fallen U.S. Navy EOD Technician.​

Scholarship Details

Scholarship Awards

The Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal Association (NEODA) awards scholarships annually to eligible applicants who meet all program requirements. These scholarships support post-secondary education and help offset the financial burden associated with higher education.

2026 Program - Initial Launch Adjustment

As the inaugural year of the NEODA Scholarship Program, the 2026 application cycle reflects a modified timeline due to initial program startup.

  • Application Period Opens: December 12, 2025

  • Application Period Closes: February 15, 2026

  • Award Notifications: No later than May 1, 2026

  • Award Acceptance & School Verification Due: No later than May 30, 2026

Standard Application Timeline

As the inaugural year of the NEODA Scholarship Program, the 2026 application cycle reflects a modified timeline due to initial program startup.

Applicants should not include Social Security number or other unnecessary Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in any part of the application or in uploaded documents.

Applicants are responsible for reviewing and redacting sensitive personal information from all files prior to submission. Documents containing unredacted PII may be excluded from review.

  • Proof of relationship to a qualifying U.S. Navy EOD Technician

All required materials must be submitted together by the application deadline. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
